About
Me
My
computer career began more than 25 years ago (before the advent of PCs!)
when I earned a computer programming and operations certificate from
Control Data Institute in Chicago. I've been working with personal
computers since the days of the old 286, and have had additional
training in Windows NT administration, Microsoft Excel, and pre-press
& printing techniques.
Until mid-2001,
I worked full-time as the IT Manager for a medium-size service company
in Illinois, where I had been employed since 1982. At this company, I
maintained all computers and developed Microsoft database and
spreadsheet solutions for internal use. Since then, I have taught
classes in Basic Windows, Basic Spreadsheet (Excel), and Digital
Photography for a small educational company in Indiana. My consulting
business, which was launched in March 2000, provides on-site training
and service for local businesses and private individuals at reasonable
rates.
My wife, Carol,
and I, long-time residents of suburban Lansing, Illinois, have three
children. Our daughter, Jenny, and her husband have provided us with
four adorable little granddaughters. Our son Tim and his wife have two
great boys. Our youngest, Bob, recently purchased his first home.
In our spare time, we enjoy travel, an occasional movie, and spending
time with our family and friends.
